Underneath
Although memories not real
Confessions never shared
Keep my mind from falling
Too deep into thought
Where truth lies underneath
The words my heart is calling
I know I must make my move
To set the record straight
Move into the right direction
It’s so hard to live a lie
When slowly you can see
The flaws in that perfection

The Difference
Not denying, yet shaking the truth
Off of your shoulders
And into the night
Where countless rebels, slain,
Would dream
Of a different morning
Where better views could keep in storage
The promises of old
And, unchained, our spirits speak
Of worlds
Before the righteous told
That neither service be obeyed
Without the brave and bold
Not denying, yet shaking the truth
Off of your shoulders
And into the night
Where countless rebels, slain,
Would dream
Of a different morning
Where better views could keep in storage
The promises of old
And, unchained, our spirits speak
Of worlds
Before the righteous told
That neither service be obeyed
Without the brave and bold

Silent Valentine
How do you know if a friend
Is more than a friend?
But, in fact, a silent Valentine
Whose eyes grow wild
At thoughts of you
But whose voice would not bear the risk
To shake the safety from your smile
And the warmth so abundantly clear
In skies of laughter, seas of joy
That melt the seasons into one
With the frailty of a falling star
A light that shines from furthest clouds
To descent before the eyes of dawn
How do you know if a friend
Is more than a friend?
But, in fact, a silent Valentine
Whose eyes grow wild
At thoughts of you
But whose voice would not bear the risk
To shake the safety from your smile
And the warmth so abundantly clear
In skies of laughter, seas of joy
That melt the seasons into one
With the frailty of a falling star
A light that shines from furthest clouds
To descent before the eyes of dawn

A Rare Mourning
The snow, a blanket of cold
Beholding the sun as, slowly, she rises -
Shivers at her sight
And curses the clouds that, deliberately,
Seem to shorten the dream
As they, illuminated, flee
Exposing her to the light
Skies; have mercy!
Day; be kind!
And do not rid the landscape of a beauty
That is so rare to find
Wish you not to see innocence descent?
The whole world cloaked in white
Then spare this rude awakening
No, don't let Winter say goodnight...
The snow, a blanket of cold
Beholding the sun as, slowly, she rises -

And curses the clouds that, deliberately,
Seem to shorten the dream
As they, illuminated, flee
Exposing her to the light

The whole world cloaked in white
Then spare this rude awakening
No, don't let Winter say goodnight...
