Over the River
Slowly she goes
Under the sunlight
Shyly she shows
The book in her heart
Where the stories don’t end
The pages of white
Asking her to pretend
All through the valley
Smiling she strolls
Along hills and mountains
Dreaming she knows
The book in her blood
Where the rush still resides
The pages of white
Asking her to provide
Amidst shaking barley
Happily she stands
Between waving treetops
Fondly she plans
The book in her mind
Where the hunger exists
The pages of white
Asking her to garnish
Inside her garden
Wondering she stares
Nearby the ruins
Hoping she bares
The book in her soul
Where all colours resound
The pages of white
Asking her to astound
Over the River
Slowly she goes
Under the sunlight
Waiting to show…
